Two CAS Members Honored for Academic Excellence

Representatives of the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU) honored two CAS members for academic excellence at a ceremony in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, last fall.

CAS Fellow Mark M. Cis received the Award for Academic Excellence in the Associate in Reinsurance program. The award is given each year to those who earn the highest grade averages for the national essay examinations in the reinsurance program of the Insurance Institute of America (IIA).

Cis is employed as a vice president for CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin. He has worked for CUNA Mutual since 1976 when he joined the insurance company as an assistant actuary.

CAS Associate Lori Michelle Bradley received the Award for Academic Excellence in the Associate in Risk Management program. Bradley, who is vice president and consulting actuary for Willis Corroon Corporation in Nashville, Tennessee, received the award for earning the highest grade for the national essay examinations in the risk management program.
